ok, first of all - i have to say that i'm not the author of this piece. just found it in the deviantart literature and liked it very much, so i decided to share it with you, guys.

instructions on crashlanding

I.
for christmas i asked you to get me something yellow.
like a sunflower or a new bruise,
or maybe the underbelly of a sparrow.
you bought me seven lemons and told me how
you thought they were perfect for me - beautiful and bitter.
i left them in the sun until their yellow was all gone.
next year ill just ask you for a card.

II.
yesterday you told me that i smoke too much
and i told you that i was trying to burn myself down
from the inside. i want to be flaming when the sun goes down
and i want you to sift through my burnt black ashes
and find whats left of my ribcage.
i want you to catch a songbird to keep inside of it
that will sing much more beautifully than i ever did.
lace my rib-birdcage with ivy and call him smoke.

III.
i used to sit at the ends of runways and ask you how the airplanes worked.
how their metalheavy wings carried them to Singapore and back
and why the birds never fell flaming into the arctic. you said maybe they do.
maybe their birdheart engines die out too and thats why we see shooting stars.

IV.
i took you to the river so you could watch the waterbugs
standing on the water ripples and i told you how
i wish i could live beneath them on the bank.
watching the places their spindle legs touched down
but never fell through.
you said maybe i could learn something from them.
and im still trying to swim without drowning.
sometimes i have to swallow some water.

i am heading to the show in Inowroclaw but i can find any prices for trains on the internet (www.polrail.com)
my plan is to hitchhike to Berlin on thursday afternoon. then me and some friends (maren and andrew) wanne head to Inowroclaw by train from there on saterday morning or maybe friday.. i know trains are pretty cheap in poland, but i wanne have an exact price (might still be cheaper by car..

we can get really cheap tickets from berlin to frankfurt oder
but the polish rail website doesnt give a price from there on..
so if somebody knows where we can look up prices for the trains, that would be really helpfull
also.. if someone knows if there is a dirt cheap hotel nearby..

Anathema have announced that they will be in Beirut in the 18th of September!

I want to say that you are most welcomed to Beirut!

Me and G El went to turkey to check your Sonisphere participation which was later canceled, so your coming to Beirut is a dream coming trueee!!!

Can i ask you a question Danny, can you give us the chance, me and G EL to meet you and the band when you are here! We can take you around to taste some excellent lebanese food, and if you wont have time for that, then a cup of coffee will be excellent :)
